GLSSA Releases Schedule For 2024
The 2024 Great Lakes Stock Super Stock Association race schedule will consist of seven points races
and two special non points races. GLSSA will visit Mid Michigan, Milan and Ubly in 2024.

NMCA VS GLSSA SHOOTOUT at US 131
July 20 -22, 2023
This race will be similar to the to the race the Buckeye organization did last year at Norwalk.
The GLSSA will be bringing 8 stockers (2022 #1 stocker Brett Saurbaugh and the current top 7 in points)
and 8 super stockers (2022 #1 SS Randy Running and the current top 7 SS cars in points) to the NMCA race for
a special shootout race Friday afternoon between us and the NMCA racers.
Entry fee will be $50. The field will be set with 16 total stockers on one side of the ladder and 16 Super Stockers on the other side.
1st round will pair every GLSSA racer with a NMCA racer and we will do battle until there is one stocker and one super stocker in the final.
Whichever team driver wins the final that whole team will get their entry fee back as prize money along with the rest of the purse.
On the NMCA side of the ladder they will be racing the current top 4 racers in each class that are at the event along with 4 drivers drawn in each class that are at the event.
So even if you don't qualify to run on the GLSSA team you still could be drawn to qualify for the NMCA team and be able to join in the fun.
We will be racing in the shootout for the purse listed below along with a NMCA "Victor" trophy and the famous big GLSSA check.

NMCA invited us to race this shootout race in addition to the regular Stock and Super Stock fields in the NMCA series that weekend.
Racers must enter NMCA Stock or Super Stock at US 131 to be eligible for the shootout.

Milan Pit Parking
See the photo for the suggested Pit Parking at Milan this weekend. The JRP/9500RPM.COM Saturday Racer BBQ will be held in this area, and we would like to have all the racers pitted together to help make this work.
For those not familiar with Milan, head straight in past the ticket booth and head past Dirty Harry's Pit Store and you will turn right into this area.
For those arriving on Friday or early Saturday, please save spots for your fellow racers. Thanks

GLSSA Race 7 at Milan Dargway
GLSSA will hold its final race of the 2022 season at Milan Dragway on September 17-18, 2022. This will be a two day race with two qualifying runs on Saturday (17th) and one qualifying run on Sunday (18th) morning, followed by eliminations on Sunday afternoon.

Event Details
Entry fees-
-$140 total entry fee, $30 paid at gate to US 131, remaining $110 paid at the GLSSA trailer before the first qualifying run
-Crew passes, Friday/Saturday two day crew pass $35, Saturday only is $20. Make sure to tell your friends and family that are coming at the gate let them know they are crew for GLSSA racers. The regular admission is $55 for the weekend.
-Guaranteed purse $1,500 Winner and $700 runner-up plus deep round money, 44 cars or more payout increased to $2,000 to win and $1,000 runner-up
-Elimination ladder generated off reaction times in the 3 qualifying runs.
-Product giveaways before first round Saturday
-$100 JEGS gift certificate bounty on last race winner Brad Zaskowski
-Points leader after the race Saturday will receive a new Altronics hand held weather station donated by Al Wisniewski and AW Race Cars
-Calcutta program will again happen for racers who would like to race for more cash. This program works great for the racers who would like to race for more cash without having to increase the entry fee for the racers who do not wish to race for more cash. We will come through the lanes Saturday morning before the last qualifying run to collect $40 and get the racers signed up that want to get in. Winner takes all or remaining racers that are in the program can split it up in the semifinals or finals if they wish.

-Friday - Gates open at 9am, 2 Qualifying shots around 8pm & 10pm Spectator gates open at 5pm so I would beat the rush if possible and get there before that.
-Saturday- Gates open at 8am, Final qualifying 9am and into eliminations throughout the day.

2 tee shirts to every 2022 event winner with a Mopar/Dodge/Plymouth vehicle

Save the Date!!!
September 10-11 2021 JRP sponsored final GLSSA race for 2021 at US 131 motorsports park. This will replace the JRP sponsored Milan race we were supposed to have.
So far this is what we know- this will be a one race two day event. Friday we will have qualifying (most likely later in the day)followed by a racer appreciation cookout thanks to Jimmy Ronzello and JRP, Saturday we will have a final qualifying run then go into eliminations. You can just come Saturday for one qualifier and eliminations if you don't want to be there Friday. This race weekend is the funny car nationals race with funny cars, pro mods, GLSSA and lots of fans. This is not a normal bracket program weekend like we ran with this past spring.

Pay $100 GLSSA Entry Fee to Charlie Downing.
Crew pit passes are paid at the gate.
Pit Parking - There are a number of "Paid Reserved" pit spaces at US 131. These will have a name painted on the asphalt in front of the space. There are other pit spaces with power available for daily rental - if you are interested you can handle that at the front gate.

Here's the schedule for the first 2 races at Mid Michigan Motorplex.
Saturday May 1
Gates open at Noon
Time Trials start at 1:00 pm
Sunday May 2
Gates open at 9:00 am
Time Trials at 10:00 am
For those that want to arrive on Friday and stay the night, the gates will be open until 11:00 pm.
There will be 2 qualifying runs on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. Race pairings will be based on reaction times.
Entry Fee for each race is $135.
